A focus of GJC is educating the youth about nutrition. Many times the diet of the children is poor and fills them with empty and unhealthy calories. A weekly nutritional class is held in the GJC clubhouse and it's here that the youth learn about the importance of eating healthy and staying active.
In early 2017, we constructed our Instructional Garden where the youth are able to plant and harvest organic fruits and vegetables.
The Friendship Race is held annually and inspires healthy competition among the youth. Medals are awarded to different age groups ranging from 10-18 years old.
Schools out and that means it’s time to have some fun! Our spring break camps are 3-day 2-night fun and dynamic events that our youth look forward to every spring.
With the objective of providing career guidance and opening young minds to new opportunities, GJC invites professionals from different fields to participate in a Career Fair for the children.
